Avianca Airlines

History

Since 1919, Avianca has served as Colombia’s flag carrier. It is the second-biggest airline in Latin America and the biggest in Colombia. Avianca is a member of the Synergy Group, which also includes VIP (Ecuador) and Ocean Air (Brazil). Avianca is one of the key airlines connecting South America with the rest of the globe. It has the largest destination network in Latin America thanks to its subsidiaries, Avianca Costa Rica and Avianca Brasil. Operating more than 25 locations in Colombia and more than 40 locations in the Americas and Europe, the company operates out of its center in Bogotá. You can choose from more than 370 weekly flights to visit 18 nonstop destinations from El Salvador at the time and day that suits you best.

After merging with TACA in 2009, Avianca Aerolinea assumed control of a number of TACA’s routes and services. People are drawn to Latin America on a daily basis by its breathtaking natural beauty, mouthwatering cuisine, and vibrant cultures. In actuality, the area is among the few in the globe where skyscrapers and antiquated customs coexist. From twelve US gateway cities—Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Puerto Rico, Ontario, and San Francisco—the airline operates a large number of flights across Latin America. Cabin Classes

Avianca offers two cabin classes in its flights – Economy and Business.

  • Economy Class

The airline’s lowest-cost cabin class is called economy. Super Promo, Econo, and Flexi Economy Class rates are available on Avianca tickets. Although the in-flight amenities and seating options are the same for all fares, higher-priced fares do come with additional benefits like seat preference and free modifications and cancellations. Depending on the time of day you travel, Economy Class has a breakfast, lunch, and supper meal in addition to a variety of in-flight entertainment. The comfy chairs in economy class provide legroom. Every seat on a long-haul aircraft has a personal TV installed. Avianca uses the best quality ingredients to prepare the meals. The meals include starters and desserts too, and you can specialize your needs without any extra charge.

  • Business Class

Avianca aims to create an unforgettable flying experience by emphasizing comfort, privacy, and improved service. The goal of Avianca’s new business class is to provide perfection. Comfortably built leather chairs with improved pitch, plenty of legroom, and additional space are available in business class. Because Avianca values your privacy, it provides seat dividers and keeps 40 inches between seats to guarantee that you have some alone time while traveling. Business Class travel offers perks including priority boarding, access to VIP lounges, two pieces of luggage allowed, a special menu and drinks choices while on board, and priority baggage tagging to ensure that your luggage is available for us to pick up as soon as you arrive.
